Hebrews 11:1-22
The people of Genesis

ഉല്പ്പത്തി പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ സ്റ്റഡി തീരണമെങ്കിൽ, അതിന്റെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവരെ ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ കാണണം.

വിശ്വാസം. 

എബ്രായരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ ഇത് വളരെ നന്നായി നാം കാണുന്നു.
വിശ്വാസത്താൽ:
- ഹാബേൽ ദൈവത്തിനു യാഗം അർപ്പിച്ചു.
- ഹാനോക്ക് ദൈവത്തോട് കൂടെ നടന്നു, ദൈവത്തെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിച്ചു.
- നോഹ നീതിക്ക് അവകാശിയായി. തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.
- അബ്രഹാം തന്റെ വാഗ്ദത നാട്ടിലേക്ക് യാത്രയായി, ജാതികളുടെ പിതാവായി.
- സാറ അത്ഭുതം അനുഭവിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു
- ഇസഹാക്ക് തന്റെ മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു
- യാകോബ് തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു, മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു
- യോസേഫു ഇസ്രയേൽ മക്കളെ രക്ഷിച്ചു, അവരുടെ പുറപ്പാടിനെ പറ്റി ഓർപ്പിച്ചു

എന്നാൽ ഒരു കാര്യം വളരെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. ഇതിൽ പലർക്കും അവരുടെ ജീവിത കാലത്ത് അവർ കാണാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച കാര്യം നേരിൽ കാണുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. എന്നാൽ, അവർ ഇന്ന് സ്വർഗത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ആകുന്നു. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്കു ശേഷവും, നാം അവരെ ഓർക്കുന്നു.

Genesis 49-50

Genesis 49

Blessings

ഉല്ൽപ്പത്തി പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ അവസാനത്തെ ഭാഗത്തിലേക്ക് നാം പ്രവേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ, രണ്ടു കാര്യങ്ങൾ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. 49-ൽ അനുഗ്രഹം.

ഉല്പത്തി 49. "നിൻ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവത്താൽ - അവൻ  നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും സർവ്വശക്തനാൽ തന്നേ - അവൻ  മീതെ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും താഴെ കിടക്കുന്ന ആഴത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രങ്ങളാലും മുലയുടെയും ഗർഭത്തിന്റെയും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും."

ഈ രണ്ടു കാര്യങ്ങൾ വളരെ പ്രാധാന്യം അർഹിക്കുന്നു. കർത്താവിനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന നമുക്ക് ഈ രണ്ടും ജീവിതത്തിൽ ആവശ്യമാണ്‌. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ മറ്റുള്ളവരോട് കാട്ടുന്ന ക്ഷമയും, നല്കുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹതെയുമത്രെ. യാകോബ് തന്റെ മക്കൾക്ക്‌ കൊടുക്കുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹം അവരുടെ ഗതി നിർണയിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കുകൾക്കും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുവാൻ കഴിവുണ്ട്. അതിനാൽ മനസ് തുറന്നു ആരെയെങ്കിലും ഒന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കൂ. എന്നിട്ട് അവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി പ്രാർതിക്കൂ. 

Just one word to remember - blessings. Jacob issues several rounds of blessings. See how much his words matter. Like that, we can bless people too. In fact, It might help them. Can I challenge you to bless someone today. 

Genesis 50

Forgiveness

50-ൽ ക്ഷമ.
ഉല്പത്തി 50: "അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വീണു: ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു അടിമകൾ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.യോസേഫ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നുവോ? നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നേരെ ദോഷം വിചാരിച്ചു; ദൈവമോ, ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ ബഹുജനത്തിന്നു ജീവരക്ഷ വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിനെ ഗുണമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു. ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളെയും പോറ്റി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി."

രണ്ടാമതായി, യോസേഫു തന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ച സഹോദരന്മാരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതായി നാം കാണുന്നു. അവരോടു അവൻ ദൈവീക ക്ഷമ പകരുന്നു. നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ച ആളുകളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുവാനും, അവരുടെ കൃത്യത്തെ ക്ഷമിക്കുവാനും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കഴിയട്ടെ.

Just one word to remember - forgiveness. See how Joseph forgives his brothers for their past abuses. In God's reconciliation plan, one key word is forgiveness. Is there someone in your life you have to forgive for a past abuse? 

We end Genesis with this chapter. It has been a tremendous journey of systematic study. I hope I can continue through the remaining 86 weeks. Over two years, I hope to study the word of God. If you join me, I can assure you that this experience will transform you.

Genesis 47-48

Genesis 47-48

Rooting into Egypt

When Jacob's sons settled in the valley far away from the Egyptians everyone thought their own agenda succeeded. The pharaoh thought he was able to satisfy Joseph, who instead ensured the security of his family, and the Egyptians were glad that these new immigrants were living away from their settlement. But eventually it was God's agenda that they settle in a land isolated from the rest of Egypt. So that they can grow as a nation. A nation of 2 million grew from 70-75 people over 400 years. Even in our lives, if we submit to his will, it is His agenda that will always come to fruition. Not ours. And his agenda will be for our good, always. 

Why were Israelites enslaved in later years? It's thought that the pharaoh of Joseph's times was an outsider. This dynasty was overthrown by the Egyptian pharaoh who allowed the Egyptians to pay it back to the Israelites for the 'apparent land taxation and abuses' they may have received while Joseph was ruling the land. Isn't it incredible how human history is finely crafted by God.

The final thought for today: Man is responsibile for his actions, but God's Sovereign.   

Genesis 44-46

യൊസെഫ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു elaborate പദ്ധതി ഇടുന്നു. ഇതിലൂടെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്ക് തങ്ങളുടെ പഴയ ചെയ്തികളിൽ നിന്നും പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം ചെയ്യുവാൻ ഒരു അവസരം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.



Genesis 45
A discovery and a conviction

ഈ അദ്ധ്യായത്തിലെ interaction-ഇലൂടെ യൊസെഫ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. അവർ പണ്ട് തന്നോട് ചെയ്തത് പോലെ വീണ്ടും കിട്ടിയ chance നോക്കി ജീവനും കൊണ്ട് ഓടുമോ എന്ന് യൊസെഫ് നോക്കുന്നുണ്ടയിരിക്കാം. പണ്ട് എത്രയും വേഗം സ്വന്തം ജീവന രക്ഷിക്കാൻ നോക്കിയ ആളുകള് ഇപ്പോൾ സ്വന്തം ജീവനെ തന്നെ ത്യജിക്കുവാൻ തയാറാകുന്നു. യുദാ ബിന്യമീന് പകരമായി അവന്റെ കുറ്റം എല്ക്കുവാൻ വരെ തയ്യാറായി. ചെയ്യാത്ത കുറ്റം ആരോപിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, അവർ അത് ഏറ്റത് തങ്ങള് പണ്ട് യോസേഫിനോടു ചെയ്ത പാപത്തിന്റെ ഫലം തിരികെ ലഭിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് വിചാരിക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ടായിരിക്കാം.

In this chapter you also read about divination techniques that Joseph used. Clearly, the bible says that this is an abomination to Israel in front of God. It appears that living with pagans, Joseph acquired few of their practices too.

Another important concept is revealed here: the doctrine of providence. Joseph says that it is not his brothers who sent him to Egypt, it was God. Joseph is attributing his life's story to God's planning and not man's mistakes. Obviously, man has a role to play in these situations and you would not want to be the people involved in this story like Jacob's brothers. Man has a responsibility (to obey God, avoid sinning), but God is sovereign over everything. This is the doctrine of providence. Everything that happens in an anointed believers life is according to God's plans.

God's agenda always counts, not ours.

Genesis 46
The Jacob clan --> Nation of Israel

This is just a historical record of what is to form the nation of Israel. The result of God's promise to Abraham. The bible essentially tells the story of God's redemption plan for man through the promise he made to Abraham. All what happens in between are just pointers to our understanding of this. If you know this, and do not know the details of all the bible stories, dont worry. You are fine. But of course, God wants you to discover him more and more. And, he wishes to speak to you, through the word of God. The living word of God. So, read on. This is week 5, day 1. Great job!
